3&4) Film distribution "EVALUATION"

Another way that films are distributed is through trailers where the audience get a chance to watch bits of the film before it is actually released in the cinemas. We are going to market our film in a film festival as well where we will attract a wider audience than the target audience and attract other companies who will want to distribute the film. 'Shaun of the dead' is an e.g. of a film that was marketed in a film festival they changed the genre from it being just 'ZOMCOM' which is aimed at males, 'ROMCOM' which is aimed at females. In the film festival it was changed to 'ROMZOMCOM' so immediately it was made clear that it was aiming at a wider audience both male and females.

We are going to use convergence to market our film where we're going to converge a mobile and the film together like the 'Star Trek' phone. This will attract more people because it's going to inherit fans for e.g. Nokia marketed the 'Star Trek' phone. People who are a fan of Nokia would be interested in the converged phone and would even be interested in watching the film.
We would also market our media product online like 'Star Trek' did they put their product in trekki websites, facebook, twitter and other sites etc... where they inherited fans giving them a huge audience.
